The iQOO 12, which is expected to launch on December 12 in India will reportedly be priced at ₹56,999.
Tipster Mukul Sharma posted an image on X (formerly Twitter) of what he claims is the back of iQOO 12’s box. The image shows that the device will be priced at “₹5x,999”.
“In all likelihood, the device will be priced around ₹53,000 to ₹55,000 in India,” Sharma said. However, he also added that, as per his source, the price is ₹56,999.
According to Sharma, the smartphone is expected to come in two storage variants — 12GB RAM with 256GB storage and 16GB RAM with 512GB storage.
So far, iQOO has confirmed that the 5G device will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset — the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. It will also run on Funtouch OS 14, which is based on Android 14.
“iQOO 12 will be the first non-pixel smartphone to give Android 14 out of the box,” the company said in a statement.
iQOO also said that the OS will come with no hot apps or games. Additionally, it will offer three years of Android updates and four years of security updates.
According to rumours, the device is likely to come with a 6.78-inch 2K AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 144Hz. The official teaser for the iQOO 12 shows that it will feature a triple rear camera system with 100x zoom.
According to the device's page on Amazon, these are expected to be two 50MP sensors — an "Astrography" camera and an ultra-wide — and a 64MP periscope lens with 3X optical zoom.
The iQOO 12 will also be equipped with a new iQOO Q1 gaming chip.
The battery on the smartphone will most likely boast a 5,000 mAh capacity with rumoured support for 200W fast charging.
The phone is going to launch in collaboration with BMW Motorsport, similar to previous iQOO flagships, and could be launched exclusively on Amazon, as per the official announcement.
It will be available in white and red colour options, as per the teaser. The white variant will have the BMW Motorsport branding.
iQOO will also be releasing an “Alpha Edition” of the smartphone, which will feature a matte black finish. It is not clear if its specifications or the price will be different from the regular variants.
