Walmart opened first fulfillment centre in Bhiwandi in November 2017.

What is a fulfillment centre?

It fulfills orders of kirana stores, small businesses, hotels and equipped with warehousing management system.

Fulfillment centre has food and non food items and 600 stock keeping units can be transported from the centre.

It occupies 26,000 sq ft space and there is a scope to expand space to over 45,000 sq ft.

Walmart partnered with DHL to set up fulfillment centre. It aims to have 50 best price stores in next 4-5 years.
