Flipkart board to have eight members initially

The composition of the Flipkart board post the deal with Walmart has been chalked out, and the board will initially comprise eight members, five of whom will be nominated by Walmart.

Two directors will be appointed by minority shareholders, and in this case it could Tencent, Tiger Global or founder Binny Bansal, will also be on the board.

The number of directors could be increased to eight at any time.
