Berger Paints is planning to enter wood and glass coatings segment this year, said Abhijit Roy, MD & CEO of the company.

"We have acquired one company called Saboo Coatings. They have glass coatings portfolio, which we would like to introduce this year in India," Roy said.

The Berger Paints India stock is seeing profit booking, despite posting better than expected numbers.

Roy said that Q4 volume is about 13-14%.

Domestic market share has increased marginally to 19% in decorative business, he said.

Talking about new launches, he said, “We have rolled out two products in the exterior segment called weather coat anti dust and weather coat long-life.”
