Amazon to deliver smartphones in 2 hours, says report

E-commerce giant Amazon will deliver smartphones to its customers in just two hours on this Prime day, reported Financial Express.

Amazon Prime customers will be able to buy leading mobile phone brands including OnePlus, Xiaomi, Samsung and Motorola among others, the report said.

Prime Day will be celebrated from 12 noon on July 16 to midnight on July 17, the report said adding that the Prime customers in Bengaluru, Mumbai, New Delhi and Hyderabad will get exclusive 2-hour ultra fast delivery slots anytime between 6 am to midnight as per their choice.

The usual customers in these cities will also get same-day 2-hour slots from 6 AM to 12 Midnight, though as per the shipper’s convenience, the report added.

The service, however, will only be available to customers who book through Prime Now app, catering to the urban families that value speed and convenience, it said.

Apart from the smartphones, the Amazon will also deliver a select range of consumer electronics, home and kitchen supplies, fruits and vegetables, grocery, staples, meats, and more, the daily said.
