Sorbhog is an Assembly constituency in the Barpeta district, in the Lower Assam region of Assam.

In the 2016 Assembly elections, Sorbhog was won by Ranjeet Kumar Dass of AIUDF.

Before that, in the 2011 elections, the seat was held by Ranjeet Kumar Dass of BJP.

In the 2016 assembly polls, Ranjeet Kumar Dass garnered 56454 votes, securing over 33.34 percent of the vote share, and winning the seat by a margin of 19526 votes.

In percentage terms, the victory margin was 11.53 percent.

The constituency polled 169394 votes in the 2016 Assam assembly polls with a voter turnout of 86.18 percent.

The Sorbhog constituency has a literacy level of 65.03 percent.

A total of 15 candidates stood in the 2016 elections.
