Baruipur Paschim is an Assembly constituency in the South 24 Parganas district, in the South East Bengal region of West Bengal.

The Baruipur Paschim constituency went to polls on April 6, 2021.

The assembly seat is reserved for the General category.

In the 2016 Assembly elections, Baruipur Paschim was won by Biman Banerjee of CPIM.

Before that, in the 2011 elections, the seat was held by Biman Banerjee of TMC.

In the 2016 assembly polls, Biman Banerjee garnered 99945 votes, securing over 54.73 percent of the vote share, and winning the seat by a margin of 36532 votes.

In percentage terms, the victory margin was 20.01 percent.

The constituency polled 182608 votes in the 2016 West Bengal assembly polls with a voter turnout of 85.77 percent.

The Baruipur Paschim constituency has a literacy level of 78.57 percent.

A total of 8 candidates stood in the 2016 elections.
