MUMBAI, March 22 (Reuters) - STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex rose 190.75 points, or 0.26%,
to 72,831.94, while the broader NSE index gained 66.1
points, or 0.30%, to 22,078.05, as IT sector bellwether
Accenture's revenue warning offset optimism around U.S. Federal
Reserve rate cuts.
RUPEE:
The Indian rupee weakened 0.33% versus the U.S. dollar,
and quoted at 83.43 per dollar, as weakness in the offshore
Chinese yuan and an uptick in U.S. bond yields weighed on Asian
currencies across the board.
GOVERNMENT BONDS:
The benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 100.80
rupees, with the yield up 1 bps at 7.0607%, as states announced
a record debt sale for next week.
OVERNIGHT INDEX SWAPS:
The one-year overnight index swap rate was up 2
bps at 6.72%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate
rose 3 bps to 6.34%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money rate was unchanged at
6.60%. The overnight TREPS rate was at 6.79%,
compared with the previous day's weighted average of 6.7268%.
