08:39 AM EDT, 07/19/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Technology stocks were mixed premarket Friday, with The Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) down 0.4% and the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) 1.3% higher.

CrowdStrike Holdings ( CRWD ) shares were down nearly 12% and Microsoft ( MSFT ) stock was more than 1% lower after their outages led to disruptions across multiple industries globally early Friday, affecting flights, broadcasts, as well as banking and healthcare systems.
