The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was 2.4% lower, and bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was up 2.4%.

Bank of Montreal ( NRGD ) was more than 1% lower after it reported fiscal Q2 adjusted earnings of 2.59 Canadian dollars ($1.89) per diluted share, down from CA$2.89 a year earlier.
