Amazon, Newell Brands And 3 Stocks To Watch Heading Into Friday

With U.S. stock futures trading lower this morning on Friday, some of the stocks that may grab investor focus today are as follows:

Wall Street expects Newell Brands Inc. ( NWL ) to report quarterly earnings at 14 cents per share on revenue of $1.96 billion before the opening bell, according to data from Benzinga Pro. Newell Brands ( NWL ) shares gained 1.2% to $9.81 in after-hours trading.

Amazon.com Inc. ( AMZN ) reported better-than-expected earnings and sales results for its fourth quarter after the market close Thursday. However, the company said it sees first-quarter net sales to come in a range of $151 billion to $155.5 billion, up 5% to 9% year-over-year, down from market estimates of $158.5 billion. Amazon ( AMZN ) shares fell 4.1% to $229.15 in the after-hours trading session.

Analysts are expecting Flowers Foods Inc. ( FLO ) to post quarterly earnings at 21 cents per share on revenue of $1.13 billion. The company will release earnings before the markets open. Flowers Foods ( FLO ) shares gained 0.5% to $19.44 in after-hours trading.

Microchip Technology Inc. ( MCHP ) reported weaker-than-expected third-quarter financial results and issued weak earnings guidance for the fourth quarter. Microchip shares dipped 6.9% to $49.47 in the after-hours trading session.

Analysts expect Plains All American Pipeline L.P. ( PAA ) to post quarterly earnings at 40 cents per share on revenue of $13.74 billion before the opening bell. Plains All American Pipeline ( PAA ) shares gained 0.7% to $20.15 in after-hours trading.
