10:25 AM EDT, 05/08/2024 (MT Newswires) -- CFRA, an independent research provider, has provided MT Newswires with the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:
We raise our 12-month target price by $14 to $204, valuing AIZ shares at 12x our '25 operating EPS estimate of $17.05 (lifted today by $0.50), versus the shares' three-year average forward multiple of 12.5x and a peer average of 14.4x. We raise our '24 EPS estimate by $0.75 to $16.10 after AIZ posted Q1 operating EPS of $4.78 versus $2.75, topping our $4.07 EPS estimate and the $3.92 consensus view. Results reflect an 8.4% rise in premiums and fees and a 20% rise in investment income, while margins benefited from a contained 3.7% rise in benefits and expenses. We expect AIZ to produce operating revenue growth of 8%-15% in '24, and see a rise of 7%-12% in '25. While we don't view Q1 results as an annual run rate, they are encouraging, nevertheless. We view the shares, currently trading at 11.1x our '24 EPS estimate and currently yielding 1.6%, as undervalued versus peer and historical averages, and see strong underwriting results as a catalyst for the shares to close their valuation gap to peers.
