Research Alert: CFRA Maintains Buy Opinion On Shares Of First Solar, Inc.
Jun 3, 2024 5:46 AM

08:15 AM EDT, 06/03/2024 (MT Newswires) -- CFRA, an independent research provider, has provided MT Newswires with the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:

We raise our 12-month target price by $105 to $331, or 15.1x our 2025 EPS estimate, in line with FSLR's trailing 12 months avg. forward P/E. We reiterate our EPS estimates: $13.69 in 2024 and $21.93 in 2025. We think FSLR is well positioned to meet the increasing demand for energy, as utility-scale solar is likely going to be a good solution for the incremental demand from AI-driven data centers. We also note that FSLR should benefit more than its peers from U.S. policies with increasingly strict tariffs on Chinese manufacturers, given FSLR's strong market position in the U.S. Washington Analysis, a CFRA company, thinks FSLR is a clear winner of the updated notice from the Treasury Department and the IRS on qualifying for the 10% domestic content bonus adder for the commercial production tax credits (PTC) and investment tax credit (ITC). Washington Analysis highlights a more straightforward guidance that should make the process for claiming the bonus smoother and the weighting favors U.S.-made solar cells.
