Research Alert: CFRA Keeps Hold Opinion On Shares Of Dollar Tree, Inc.
Mar 26, 2025 11:18 PM

01:45 AM EDT, 03/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- CFRA, an independent research provider, has provided MT Newswires with the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:

Following Q4 FY 25 (Jan.) results and the pending Family Dollar sale, we lower our 12-month target by $1 to $74, or 12x our newly initiated FY 27 EPS of $6.16, a steep but justifiable discount to the long-term mean of 18x. We revise our FY 26 EPS to $5.19 from $6.24 to reflect the Family Dollar sale, along with tariff and SG&A headwinds (e.g., labor, store maintenance, D&A). We base our multiple on FY 27 EPS, which we expect to reflect a more normalized year as tariff mitigation efforts near completion and TSA payments fully offset certain Family Dollar corporate costs. FY 26 will be a transitional year, pressured by tariff headwinds, the Family Dollar sale, and heavy reinvestments in areas like store labor and maintenance. Meanwhile, DLTR continues to roll out higher price points within the Dollar Tree ( DLTR ) banner, boosting comps for now, but we remain skeptical about the sustainability of this growth, as it increases competition with larger retailers and could erode Dollar Tree's ( DLTR ) brand identity.
