Emkay Investment Managers (EIML), the asset management arm of Emkay Global Financial Services, announced the appointment of Manish Sonthalia as the Chief Investment Officer at the firm.

Sonthalia has over three decades of experience in the financial services industry and joins the Emkay group from Motilal Oswal Asset Management Company, where he served as an Executive Director and CIO for PMS, Alternates, and Offshore Investments, and managed assets worth approximately Rs 6,500 crore at the last count.

Speaking on his appointment as the Chief Investment Officer of EIML, Manish Sonthalia said, “I look forward to deepening the product profile and scaling up the AUM of the portfolio management business.”

EIML is a wholly owned subsidiary of Emkay Global Financial Services Limited and has been a SEBI-registered portfolio manager since 2003.
