08:38 AM EDT, 04/22/2024 (MT Newswires) -- The Chicago Federal Reserve Bank's monthly National Activity Index rose to a reading of 0.15 in March from an upwardly revised 0.09 in February, compared with expectations for a decrease to 0.07 in a survey of analysts compiled by Bloomberg as of 8:00 am ET.
The three-month moving average increased to minus 0.19 from minus 0.28.
Of the 85 individual indicators, 50 made positive contributions to the index in March, while 35 made negative contributions. Some 50 indicators improved in the month, while 35 indicators deteriorated.
