Update: Booz Allen Hamilton to Pay $15.9 Million to Settle Alleged False Claims Act Violations
Jan 3, 2025 10:04 AM

12:32 PM EST, 01/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- (Updates with additional detail, Booz Allen Hamilton's ( BAH ) response and the stock move starting in the second paragraph.)

Booz Allen Hamilton Holding ( BAH ) has agreed to pay about $15.9 million to the US government to resolve allegations that its Booz Allen Hamilton Engineering Services unit violated the False Claims Act, the US Department of Justice said Friday.

It was alleged that the unit submitted fraudulent claims to the US in connection with a General Services Administration task order to supply Department of Defense agencies with computer military training simulators and systems, the DOJ said.

"There are no findings or admissions of wrongdoing on the part of Booz Allen," a company spokesperson said in an emailed statement to MT Newswires. "As acknowledged by the government in its investigation, the individuals involved in this matter admitted to taking deliberate steps to hide their conduct from the company because they would have been promptly terminated."

"We categorically deny that the company violated the False Claims Act and are pleased to move beyond this decade-old matter," the spokesperson added.

The company's shares were up 2.7% in recent Friday trading.
