RTX's Raytheon Wins $525 Million US Navy Contract for Missile Production

09:27 AM EDT, 09/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- RTX (RTX) said Monday that the US Navy has awarded its Raytheon unit a $525 million contract for the production of ESSM Block 2 missiles and spares for the US and its allies.

The ESSM Block 2 variant has increased maneuverability compared with Block 1, the company said.

ESSM is managed by the NATO Seasparrow Consortium composed of 12 countries, including the US, according to RTX.
