12:49 PM EDT, 10/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- GE Healthcare Technologies ( GEHC ) on Monday announced the AI Innovation Lab initiative to accelerate the integration of artificial intelligence across products.

The company will advance five new research projects exploring applications of early-concept AI innovations, GE Healthcare ( GEHC ) said.

The projects include an agentic AI called Health Companion to offer treatment plan recommendations to physicians.

GE HealthCare ( GEHC ) said it would also explore the possibility of using AI to better detect breast cancer and improving quality of care for mothers and their babies.

The company's stock fell 1.2% in recent Monday trading.
