08:49 AM EST, 12/04/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Canadian Natural Resources' ( CNQ ) shares were up 0.25% in U.S. premarket trading -- having risen near 1.9% in NYSE trade yesterday -- after the company said it priced two USD and one CAD unsecured notes, in a statement overnight Tuesday.
CNQ expects the offerings priced at US$1,500 million in 5 and 10-year USD notes and C$500 million in 7-year CAD notes, to close on Dec. 6.
Moreover, the company said net proceeds from the sale of the notes were intended to be used for general corporate purposes, and the repayment of indebtedness, including indebtedness incurred in connection with the deal to buy various assets from Chevron Canada Limited. The net proceeds that are not used immediately may be invested in short-term marketable securities, CNQ added.
CNQ was up $0.91 or 1.9% to $48.14 on the TSX yesterday.
