09:07 AM EST, 12/19/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Accenture ( ACN ) lifted its full-year revenue growth outlook on Thursday as the consulting firm logged better-than-expected fiscal first-quarter results, buoyed by gains across all markets and industry groups.
The company now anticipates revenue to rise by 4% to 7% in local currency for fiscal 2025, up from its prior projections for a 3% to 6% increase. The current consensus on FactSet is for revenue of $68.62 billion. The stock rose 4.7% in premarket activity.
Per-share earnings are pegged at $12.43 to $12.79 for the ongoing fiscal year, down from the company's previous guidance range of $12.55 to $12.91. The Street is looking for GAAP EPS of $12.74. Foreign exchange is forecast to be a 0.5% headwind to the firm's results in the year, compared with the prior outlook for a positive impact of 1.5%.
For the three months through Nov. 30, Accenture's ( ACN ) revenue rose to $17.69 billion from $16.22 billion a year earlier, topping the Street's view for $17.15 billion. The company's earnings jumped 16% year over year to $3.59, surpassing analysts' $3.40 estimate.
"Our strategy to lead reinvention for clients while continuing to invest in our business has given us a strong start to fiscal 2025," Chief Executive Julie Sweet said in a statement. "We delivered broad-based revenue growth across both consulting and managed services, and across each market and industry group, gaining market share."
Consulting revenue advanced 7% to $9.05 billion, while sales in the managed services division climbed 11% to $8.64 billion. New bookings ticked up 1% to $18.7 billion comprising $9.22 billion in consulting and $9.48 billion in managed services. Bookings related to Accenture's ( ACN ) generative artificial intelligence offering amounted to $1.2 billion.
For the ongoing three-month period, Accenture ( ACN ) expects revenue of $16.2 billion to $16.8 billion, with a foreign-exchange headwind of 2.5%. In local currency, the guidance reflects a growth range of 5% to 9%. Analysts currently forecast revenue of $16.67 billion for the quarter.
