04:11 PM EDT, 08/15/2024 (MT Newswires) -- The US Treasury reported Thursday that there was a net combined $107.5 billion inflow of long-term, short-term and banking flows in June, compared with a $16.1 billion inflow in May.
Long-term securities transactions represented a $96.1 billion inflow, while short-term transactions were a net $38.9 billion outflow and bank liabilities were a net $50.3 billion inflow.
By country, Japan remained the largest holder of Treasury securities with $1.118 trillion, followed by China with $780.2 billion and United Kingdom with $741.5 billion.
