From continental Europe, the gainers were led by internet browser company Opera (OPRA) and furniture maker Natuzzi (NTZ), which rose 6.1% and 2.5% respectively. They were followed by semiconductor company Sequans Communications ( SQNS ) and telecommunications operator Telefonica ( TEF ) , which were up 3.5% and 1.7% respectively.
The decliners from continental Europe were led by biotech firm Evaxion Biotech ( EVAX ) and biopharmaceutical company Grifols ( GRFS ) , which fell 4.3% and 0.8% respectively. They were followed by pharmaceutical companies Novo Nordisk ( NVO ) and Ascendis Pharma ( ASND ) , which dropped 1.8% and 0.9% respectively.
From the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by biopharmaceutical companies Akari Therapeutics ( AKTX ) and Adaptimmune Therapeutics ( ADAP ) , which advanced 5.1% each. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company Biodexa Pharmaceuticals ( BDRX ) and oil and gas company BP (BP), which rose 2.8% and 1.2% respectively.
The decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by biopharmaceutical company Mereo BioPharma Group ( MREO ) and pharmaceutical company Silence Therapeutics ( SLN ) , which lost 7.2% and 5.2% respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical companies TC Biopharm ( TCBP ) and Amarin Corporation ( AMRN ) , which were down 10.9% and 2.6% respectively.
