CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens lower after unexpected rise in Canadian inflation

June 25 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened

lower on Monday after a surprisingly stronger-than-expected

inflation report clouded hopes for interest rate cuts from the

Bank of Canada in July.

At 9:33 a.m. ET (1333 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's

S&P/TSX composite index was down 0.5% at 21,738.96.
