Sept 26 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened
higher on Thursday, lifted by mining stocks, after China's
assurance of more stimulus buoyed investor sentiment while
markets also assessed U.S. economic data.
At 9:31 a.m. ET (13:31 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's
S&P/TSX composite index was up 66.88 points, or 0.28%,
at 23,972.76.
