10:40 AM EDT, 03/13/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were lower Thursday morning, declining 0.23% to 2,183.67 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index.
From North Asia, the gainers were led by diagnostic imaging centers company Concord Medical Services ( CCM ) and internet services provider Baidu ( BIDU ) , which rose 6.7% and 3.9% respectively. They were followed by e-commerce company JD.com ( JD ) and online discount retailer Vipshop ( VIPS ) , which were up 3.5% and 1.7% respectively.
The decliners from North Asia were led by electric vehicle maker NIO (NIO) and internet and data services provider VNET Group ( VNET ) , which fell 6.2% and 5.9% respectively. They were followed by The9 ( NCTY ) and Eason Technology ( DXF ) , which lost 4.2% and 3.5% respectively.
From South Asia, the gainers were led by telecommunications operator PLDT ( PHI ) , which increased 0.9%, followed by pharmaceutical company Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (RDY) and financial services company ICICI Bank ( IBN ) , which were up 1.1% and 0.5% respectively
The decliners from South Asia were led by IT firm Sify Technologies ( SIFY ) and tech conglomerate Sea (SE), which declined 2.4% and 1.8% respectively. They were followed by Wipro ( WIT ) and Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLK), which fell 0.7% and 0.4% respectively.
