02:00 PM EDT, 04/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- CFRA, an independent research provider, has provided MT Newswires with the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:
We cut our price target to $13 from $19, 8.5x our 2026 EPS view, below AMKR's three-year average (~10.3x) and our prior multiple (9x) given increasing tariff-related uncertainty and our expectation of continued auto, industrial, and communications headwinds in the near term even in the absence of new tariffs. We lower our 2025 EPS view by $0.67 to $0.78 and 2026's by $0.55 to $1.58. In our view, AMKR is one of the worst positioned companies in the semiconductor equipment space with respect to new reciprocal tariff announcements, a result of 1) its reliance on the inherently global semiconductor industry, where we expect activity to slow down; 2) its global manufacturing footprint, as all AMKR manufacturing facilities are outside of the U.S. (85% of total sf located in countries with at least 24% reciprocal tariff rates); 3) its U.S. revenue exposure (63% in 2024); and 4) its nonexistent backlog, with results highly dependent on current-quarter customer production, which could potentially decline rapidly.
