This week, phones have been buzzing with text messages and e-mails coming in from companies with their Women’s Day offers. Offers varying from getting an e-voucher or some discount when buying a product, the companies seem to be striking the right chord to woo women into buying the products they have to offer. The companies seek to get the best out of the occasion and of the fact that it falls on a weekend.
Apart from empowering women and giving them the feeling of independence, the companies are also seeing an opportunity to add up some more profitable numbers.
Some sectors, such as aviation, have been grappling with debt. Many are losing faith in airlines such as Jet Airways after the airline cancelled over 100 flights till the end of this month. The airlines seem to be working towards helping customers regain faith by providing such offers.
The offers will, also, in turn, help the economy. If the expenditure increases, there is more scope for the economy to obtain more tax which will help develop the economy in the long run.
How companies are wooing women consumers
