Traditional retailers give thumbs up to new ecommerce FDI rules

After the government took a host of steps and barred ecommerce firms such as Flipkart and Amazon from selling products of the companies in which they have a stake, CNBC-TV18's Priya Sheth finds out how brick and mortar companies hope to make hay while the sun shines.

According to the new policy, ecommerce marketplace entity cannot mandate any seller to sell their products exclusively on its platform.

It also prohibited etailers from mandating any company to sell its products exclusively on its platform only.
