Rooh Afza, which has been facing a production slump owing to shortage of some key herbal ingredients, is back on the shelves across the country. The rose-flavoured drink is consumed widely during the holy month of Ramadan, since it is the favourite drink of many Muslims after a day-long fast.
According to Hamdard Laboratories India, the 100-year-old manufacturer of the syrup, the production of RoohAzfa is on at peak capacity at its factories. Due to Ramadan and peak summer season coinciding, there has been an unprecedented demand in the market, the company said in a statement. The syrup is now available in the market and can be bought from major retail stores and grocery outlets.
The company has urged consumers and traders not to be misled by incorrect information being circulated online and in print about non-availability of RoohAfza.
“We continue our long tradition of providing health and wellness to our customers. The organisation has built trust over a century of producing quality products and we are grateful for that trust. As always, we strive to maintain and grow the relationships we have fostered with them,” Chief Mutawalli at Hamdard Laboratories India Hammad Ahmed, said.
