PC Jeweller on Monday said gold is the best asset class and demand is higher for lightweight and trendy jewellery.

In an interview to CNBC-TV18, RK Sharma, executive director and chief operating officer, said the gold market looks good as lot of positive sentiments attached to it.

Sharma said the footfall for today has been good since morning and therefore, expects sales to be good adding that, gold sales in the North India and entire country this year are expected to be good this season.

He is also confident that gold demand will be good in rural and tier III cities.
