Global tube-packaging company Essel Propack has reported a healthy topline growth in the third quarter of financial year 2019.
Discussing the firm's Q3 performance, Ashok Goel, CMD of the company, said that this year the firm has undertaken expansions across the world, "so we have extra depreciation and interest coming in."
"When the raw material prices go up, we ask for price increase so our revenues go up but margins remain in same absolute number and therefore in percentage it looks a bit depressed," Goel said, adding that India numbers have not been great in the past 6 months.
On business front, he said, “We have 2.3 percentage point expansion in non-oral care revenue for this quarter which has taken the non-oral care global revenue at 43.8 percent and for the year it has improved by 1 percentage point. So non-oral care has grown faster than the oral care.”
