Nestle India is looking to beat the plastic blues. To do so, it has chosen its most popular product, 'Maggi noodles.'
The company has launched the 'Maggi wrappers return scheme.'Consumers will get one packet of Maggi noodles for every 10 Maggi noodle wrappers.
The eco-friendly move has initially been launched in Dehradun and Mussoorie. Nestle India is working with around 250 retailers.
The Indian pollution control association will collect the wrappers from the retailers. The collected wrappers will be responsibly disposed.
Nestle India hopes to bring about a 'behaviour change' in consumers and create awareness for responsibly disposing plastic waste and prevent littering.
