Homegrown FMCG firm, Jyothy Laboratories, on Thursday said it's happy with the competition given by Crisp, Shine and Henko brands of the company in the marketplace.
In an interview to CNBC-TV18, Ullas Kamath, joint managing director, said the Kerala floods are behind us but the lag effect is still there. So from October onwards, the company will started doing well, but not as we wanted it to be.
"By and large, Jyothy has grown in all sectors and categories. In fabric care and dishwasher, Jyothy has grown in double digits. So overall, it looks okay, but we could have done little better barring Kerala. Hopefully, Jyothy should be able to make up before March,” Kamath said.
On business front, he said, “For Ujala, company has reordered flat sales, but Henko has grown by 17.5 percent and Crisp and Shine has grown by about 8 percent."
The company posted a 29.85 percent rise in its standalone net profit at Rs 48.41 crore for the quarter ended December 2018. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 37.28 crore during the same period previous fiscal.
