ITC increases prices of select cigarette brands by up to 15%

Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) major ITC has increased prices of Bristol, Flake Excel and Capstan cigarettes by 7 to 15 percent, the company said.

“Prices of a few cigarette brands have been marginally revised,” it said.

CNBC-TV18 has first reported the company's decision to increase the price.

The company has increased price of Bristol by 6.7 percent to Rs 64 from Rs 60, while Flake Excel's rate has been raised by 11 percent to Rs 60 from Rs 54 and Capstan price was increased by 14.5 percent to Rs 55 from Rs 48, sources told CNBC-TV18, requesting anonymity.

These three brands together contribute around 10 percent to 13 percent of total cigarette sales of ITC.
