Indian companies tried to make the most of the euphoria surrounding the successful air strikes on terror camps in Pakistan by the Indian Air Force (IAF) but faced a storm of protests on social media.
Fast-food chain Burger Singh offered a 20 percent discount on all orders placed online saying it was in light of the airstrike on the Jaish terror camps.
Likewise, Sirona India, a menstrual and intimate hygiene products brand, used the attack to promote its product "PeeBuddy" which is a portable female urination device that makes urinating at public places easier for girls.
Burger Singh shared a message to their customers and on social media platforms, which had hashtag #SorryNotSorry asking interested customers to use the promo code 'FPAKAGAIN'. A scene from the movie Pulp Fiction was shown to showcase it as India's reaction towards Pakistan.

Sirona India’s Facebook post said, "Surgical strike 2.0: Strike Dirty Toilets with PeeBuddy!"
CakeZone, a cake delivery platform, tweeted out a "20 percent discount" offer to customers who use the code "URI2PULWAMA".
Smaaash, an international sports bar chain, also joined the league by offering a '1+1' deal at its four NCR outlets for those using the code "INDIANAIRFORCE".
However, several Twitter users found the messages distasteful and slammed the brand, asking them to be more sensitive towards such topics.
