Internet search engine giant Google is planning to launch its own ‘Shopping’ tab in India, The Economic Times reported.
The ‘Shopping’ tab option will allow users to search for a particular product while directing them to the merchant website or e-commerce platform for the full listing, the report said citing two people familiar with the company’s plans.
The Shopping tab will be launched soon, prior to a full-fledged launch by the end of the year, The ET reported.
Alphabet’s Google is already in talks with Paytm Mall, Flipkart and Snapdeal to engage in the company’s shopping tab initiative, the report said.
