Dec 6, 2018 11:42 PM

Flipkart, in which US retailer Walmart owns a majority stake, has moved several top executives to new roles as CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy looks to place key leaders across business units, Mint reported.

Since the end of Diwali season sale, the Indian retailer has moved many senior managers to new roles as Krishnamurthy is looking to tighten the performance of the company, the report said.

Flipkart has moved Sandeep Karwa, large appliances head, to work on the company's new hyperlocal offering. Aditya Soni has been appointed as the new head of the smartphones business after the company moved the former head Ayyappan R to Myntra, the report said.

Smrithi Ravichandran, a senior director who used to be in charge of Big Billion Days, has been moved to the fin-tech unit, the report added.

A Flipkart spokesperson declined to comment on the story when approached by Mint.
