Walmart-run Flipkart has done a rejig in the top management, including the appointment of Sriram Venkataraman as the chief operating officer (COO), Business Standard reported.
The position had been vacant for more than a year. Venkataraman is currently serving as the chief financial officer in the company and will take up the COO post in addition to his profile.
The report said that Venkataraman will oversee the supply chain EKart and lead the marketplace and retail teams, adding that he will be required to report to CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy.
The e-commerce company, according to the report, also promoted Ranjith Boyanapalli, the vice president, to head the engineering teams and fintech business. Myntra CTO Jeyandran Venugopal has been elevated to be the senior vice president and will lead the company's applied science and technology group, the report said.
