Dabur expects stimulus package from government ahead of 2019 Lok Sabha polls

Fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) company, Dabur India Ltd on Wednesday said it expects a stimulus package from the government in the run-up to the general elections next year.

In an interview to CNBC-TV18, Sunil Duggal, chief executive officer, said there is a heightened spends from the government’s end during the election years and usually see higher demand ahead of polls.

Duggal said there will be upsurge in consumption, which will benefit companies like Dabur if government comes with a stimulus package ahead of Lok Sabha elections.

He said Dabur is sticking to low double-digit volume growth guidance for the full year, adding that consumption trending in high single-digit in the last two months.
