On Tuesday, Indian Air Force jets attacked a training camp of terrorist outfit Jaish-E-Mohammad in Balakot, Pakistan in response to a suicide car bomb attack carried out by JeM, killing 40 Indian troops. Pakistan on Wednesday claimed to have shot down two Indian jets and captured one of their pilots. India confirmed that, while retaliating to a violation of Indian air space by Pakistani jets, India lost one MiG 21 jet and the pilot was missing. India demanded the immediate and safe return of the Indian Air Force pilot.
