Yashodhara Raje Scindia of BJP is leading in the Shivpuri constituency in Madhya Pradesh by 20,856 votes.
Scindia has received 45,771 votes so far while Siddharth Ladha of Congress has secured 22,864 at 3.50 pm, according to information trickling out of the Election Commission.
Shivpuri recorded a 70.2 percent voter turnout where voting was held on 28th November.
Scindia is incumbent MLA from this constituency and also current minister for commerce and industries. She was elected in the MP legislative assembly in 1998. She also served as the minister of tourism, sports and youth welfare, MP state government (2005-07). She was also twice elected as Member of Parliament in 2007 and 2009.
Madhya Pradesh is one of the five states where elections were held between 12th November and 7th December.
These polls are seen as a bellwether of the 2019 general elections.
