After several American actresses accused film producer Harvey Weinstein of sexual harassment -- the hashtag #MeToo became an umbrella term to describe sexual misconduct.
Over the weekend, India also an outburst of this hashtag yet again as female journalists accused their senior male colleagues of sexual harassment. Some of the accused have stepped down from their positions, while others are being investigated by their respective organisations.
In fact, the accusations even extended to other media professionals such as Bollywood director Vikas Bahl, AIB founders Tanmay Bhat and Gursimran Khamba, actor Rajat Kapoor and Nana Patekar.
It is not just Bollywood and media that's seeing shocking expose on sexual harassment -- the #MeToo movement has even reached the ministry of external affairs. M J Akbar, the minister of state for external affairs has been accused of misconduct by a journalist.
