Speaking at a meeting of the state disaster management authority, Shinde said officials of all agencies should be on the field so that staff are alert and vigilant. #Maharashtra Congress slams Shinde govt's move on metro carshed in Mumbai's Aarey
The Maharashtra Congress on Friday said the Eknath Shinde government's decision on building a metro carshed in Mumbai's Aarey forest was its first blow on the city as the move played with the health of people here. Considering the environmental damage (of tree cutting and construction in a green lung), it was decided the carshed of Metro Line 3 will be built in Kanjurmarg instead of Aarey, Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole told reporters here.
"The newly formed government is playing with the health of Mumbaikars by insisting that the carshed be made in Aarey. Environmentalists and Mumbaikars are strongly opposed to this and thousands of people had staged massive protests against the then Fadnavis government," he said. The move to change the carshed to Kanjurmarg was obstructed by the BJP-led Centre (over ownership details), he said

#Uddhav Thackeray wonders why BJP refused to give CM post to Shiv Sena in 2019
Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray on Friday questioned the BJP's decision to install a "so-called Shiv Sainik" as Maharashtra chief minister when it did not keep its 2019 promise of rotating the top post. Addressing a press conference at Shiv Sena Bhavan, the party headquarters at Dadar in central Mumbai, Thackeray also made a fervent appeal to the Ekanth Shinde-led government not to go ahead with the Metro-3 car shed project at Aarey Colony. In their first cabinet meeting held on Thursday, Shinde and deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis directed the state administration to submit a proposal to build the Metro-3 car shed in Aarey Colony instead of Kanjurmarg. The Thackeray-led government had shifted the proposed car shed site to Kanjurmarg from Aarey Colony, but it got embroiled in a legal dispute.

# Eknath Shinde not a Shiv Sena CM, says Uddhav Thackeray
"The manner in which the government has been formed and a so-called Shiv Sena worker has been made the Chief Minister, I had said the same to Amit Shah. This could have been done respectfully. The Shiv Sena was officially with you (at that time). This CM (Eknath Shinde) is not a Shiv Sena CM," says Thackeray.
"About what happened yesterday, I had told Amit Shah earlier as well that there should be a Shiv Sena CM for 2.5 years (during the Shiv Sena-BJP alliance). Had they done this earlier, there would've been no Maha Vikas Aghadi," adds Thackeray.
