Karnataka Vidhan Soudha located in Bengaluru is the seat of the state legislature of Karnataka.
Its architectural style incorporates elements of Indo Saracenic and Dravidian styles. The western side exterior is inspired by the sculpture of Rajasthan places while the north part is inspired by Krishna Raja Sagar Dam. The cabinet meeting hall is decorated and carved in sandalwood.
Kengal Hanumanthaiah was the man behind the speedy construction of Vidhan Soudha. Jawaharlal Nehru on July 13 1951 laid the foundation stone, the construction began in 1952 and the project was completed in 1956.
