It is the battle for Karnataka and the battle for this important state has suddenly shifted into the fifth gear with the arrival of the prime minister on the campaign scene. Narendra Modi addressed three rallies, in Chamarajanagar, Udupi, and in Belgaum.
Modi defined this battle for Karnataka as the battle between the naamdars and kaamdars. The prime minister also reiterated that BS Yeddyurappa will be the Chief Minister if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) were to come back to power in the state of Karnataka.
