Congress versus BJP tug of war ahead of Karnataka assembly elections
May 10, 2018 7:06 AM

The serene and beautiful sea line of Uttar Kannada usually attracts a lot of tourists but now it's a hotspot as politicians have descended.

With eight seats until now, a Congress stronghold, the serenity is punctured by some aggressive high decibel campaigning.

It’s a tough election both for the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). While the Congress does face a strong ant incumbency wave, it is trying not to be complacent.

Just like Gujarat, Congress campaigning in Karnataka has been measured.

Congress president Rahul Gandhi has made sure that he has been accompanied by Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah wherever he goes.

Fully aware that Siddaramaiah still remains the strongest face but accompanying Rahul are also M. Mallikarjun Kharge and KC Venugopal.
