As Prime Minister Modi intensifies his campaigning for BJP in the poll bound state of Karnataka, Senior Congress Leader Shashi Tharoor poked him for using 'shuddh Hindi' in his campaigns. He also said record shows that Congress has been a better performer than the BJP in the state.

“I do not know how many people understand what Mr. Modi is saying in his Shuddh Hindi,” said Tharoor.

He further said that the claims been made by Mr. Modi on behalf of his party have been daily punctured by the responses of the Congress leaders. It’s clear that there are some untenable claims being made whereas the facts and figures are very much on our side.

“The record shows that the Congress has done better than the Centre across every parameter,” he added.
