Chhattisgarh Election Exit Polls 2023: Date, time and where to watch live action
Nov 29, 2023 9:23 AM

Chhattisgarh was one among the five poll-bound stages where the voting for the Assembly election was held in two phases. The polling for the 90-member Legislative Assembly was held on November 7 and 17.

The results of Chhattisgarh Assembly election 2023 will be announced on December 3 along with the other four states of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Mizoram and Telangana. While the voting in Rajasthan, MP and Mizoram is over, Telangana will go to polls on November 30.

Ahead of the announcement of results, all eyes are on the exit poll results, which will be announced on Thursday after voting in Telangana comes to an end.

Chhattisgarh recorded a total voter turnout of 76.31% in the 2023 Assembly elections, which was slightly lower than the 76.88% registered in 2018.

In the initial phase, 20 seats across 12 districts under the Bastar division went to polls. The first phase witnessed a voter turnout of 78%. The subsequent phase, encompassing the remaining 70 constituencies, recorded 68.15% voter turnout.

Chhattisgarh Exit Polls 2023: Date and Time

The Chhattisgarh exit poll results are scheduled to be released on Thursday, November 30, after 6:30 pm.

The live streaming of exit polls will be available on all news channels, YouTube channels and other social media platforms of News18 Network, including CNBCTV18. Moreover, the exit poll results will also be aired live on News18 MP Chhattisgarh TV channel.

Other prominent news channels are also expected to provide comprehensive coverage of the exit polls.

The Election Commission of India (EC) had imposed a ban on the announcement of exit poll results for the five poll-bound states until November 30. The EC notification, issued in October, prohibited the conduct, publication and publicity of exit polls from 7 am on November 7 until 6:30 pm on November 30.

Exit polls, pivotal in the lead-up to official results, are voter surveys conducted by news organisations and agencies. These surveys aim to gather information on how votes were cast in a specific election, offering insights into voting patterns. While exit poll results are not always accurate, they give an indication of the poll outcome.
