Ahead of the first phase of polling in Rajasthan, CNBC-TV18’s Parikshit Luthra travelled to Jodhpur and spoke to some of the key candidates.

The state government has already waived off loans taken by farmers from co-operative banks and once elections are over, farm loans taken from nationalised banks also will be waived off, Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot said.

The hottest fight in Rajasthan will be in Jodhpur where the battle is between sitting MP and Minister of State for Agriculture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Chief Minister Ashok Ghelot’s son Vaibhav Ghelot.
